Children under the age of 7 can visit the museum for free. Audio guide included in the admission price at the Landesmuseum; plus rental charge at the Stadtmuseum. Audio guide devices cannot be reserved in advance.

The Combi-ticket entitles the holder to a single admission to each of the two museums for the duration of the state exhibition, including their permanent collections. Holders of the Combi-ticket are not required to visit both museums on the same day. *School or university students, apprentices, individuals serving in the German FSJ, FÖK, BFD or FWD schemes, unemployed persons and those registered disabled (respective document required). **The season ticket allows the holder to visit the state exhibition of both museums as often as they like throughout its duration. The price includes their permanent collections. The ticket may only be used by the holder and is non-transferable. Participation in guided tours and events is not included in the ticket price.

Groups of 12 people or more are required to book their visit – even without a guided tour.

Approach

Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier

By train to Trier Hauptbahnhof. From there you can reach the Rheinisches Landesmuseum in about 15 minutes on foot or by bus line 2, direction Heiligkreuz, to the stop Mustorstraße (400 m away). The Landesmuseum is also about 400 metres away on foot from the Kaiserthermen station. This stop is served by bus lines 2, 6, 7, 8. 10, 16 and 30.

Stadtmuseum Simeonstift Trier

The Stadtmuseum Simeonstift is located directly next to the Porta Nigra at the entrance to the pedestrian area. Nearly every bus line stops there in the centre of the city (stop: Porta Nigra / Simeonstiftplatz). The main train station is about a 10-minute walk away.
