We want to ensure that all guests have a pleasant visit to the state exhibition. That is why we have made sure that access to the exhibition rooms is barrier-free – we offer customised services for guests with disabilities and special needs.

Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier

The main entrance and all of the museum’s exhibition and event rooms are easily accessible by lift. Wheelchairs and portable stools can be borrowed. Barrier-free sanitary facilities are available. A car park for people with disabilities is available for guests of the museum directly in front of the entrance. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are welcome. Various offers for deaf or blind and visually impaired people as well as offers in easy language are available, more information will be available here soon. The ‘Silent Museum’ programme offers a tour with reduced stimuli on fixed dates.

Stadtmuseum Simeonstift

Since October 2017, the Stadtmuseum has been awarded the ‘Accessibility tested’ certificate. A public car park for people with disabilities is located near the museum at Kutzbachstraße 1. All of the museum’s exhibition and event rooms are easily accessible by lift. Wheelchairs and portable stools can be borrowed. Barrier-free sanitary facilities are available. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are welcome.

Touch objects and an audio guide are available for blind and visually impaired visitors. The ‘Silent Museum’ programme offers a tour with reduced stimulation on fixed dates.
